QCE ATAR Estimator

Enter your IA1, IA2, IA3 and expected external assessment results to estimate your Queensland ATAR. QTAC builds the ATAR from your best five scaled General subject results, so each result is scaled with QTAC's published 2025 data before the best five are added up. The result is an estimate; your official ATAR is calculated by QTAC from your final QCAA results.

For each subject, enter your IA1, IA2 and IA3 results as percentages, plus the external assessment result you expect. Leave an assessment blank if you haven't had it back yet. If you leave the external assessment blank, your internal average stands in for it.

An ATAR needs five General subject results. You have 0 usable subjects: add 5 more.

How this estimate works

  • Each subject result is your internal assessments (IA1, IA2, IA3) plus your external assessment: the external assessment is 25% of a General subject, and 50% for Mathematics and Science subjects.
  • QTAC scales each result so subjects can be compared fairly. This estimator uses the raw and scaled results QTAC published for 2025, and fills in between them. Scaling is recalculated every year, so your real scaled results will differ.
  • Your TEA (Tertiary Entrance Aggregate) is the sum of your best five scaled results (maximum 500). Applied subjects and VET qualifications are not included here.
  • Your TEA is not your ATAR. QTAC ranks every eligible student and places them in an ATAR band. It does not publish a TEA-to-ATAR table, so this estimator ranks your TEA against its reading of the 2025 cohort.
  • This is an estimate, not an official result. QTAC calculates your ATAR from your final QCAA Units 3 and 4 results.
